Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens is located less than one mile east of the island’s former capital, Soufriere. Amazingly, the rock face around the waterfall, which is made of a combination of Sulfur Springs’ volcanism and rainwater, changes colors constantly due to the mineral content of the water. The street party is also known as “Friday night Gros Islet jump up.” And, it is significant enough that a few blocks in Gros Islet have to be blocked off. It happens every Friday. A few things that should be on top of your list during this party are the place’s authentic local food and St. Lucian food. The locals catch local delicacies and cook them according to their recipes. There is no better way to experience real Lucian food. The next best thing is Rum and cocktails; you will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of local tipples, from beers and rums to exotic rum punches.
